Thomas C. Jacobsen

Thomas Charles Jacobsen, age 69, of Carthage, passed away Wednesday, April 7th, 2021, in Carthage. Visitation will be 9-11 AM, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard. Burial will follow at the Montrose Cemetery.

Tom was born December 10th, 1951, in Miller, SD. He spent his younger years in Miller, helping his father with farming and cherished his time working at the sale barn and with the veterinarians. He enjoyed working various odd jobs and loved animals.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Carolyn Kay Jacobsen; son, Cory Nels Jacobsen of Sioux Falls, his step-son, Michael Griffith; brothers Bob Jacobsen, David Jacobsen, and Ron (Deb) Jacobsen; sisters Cathy (Jim) Zimmer, Cindy (Steve)Benson, and Pam Jacobsen, numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, a great-great niece; and his beloved cats, Kallie, Tinkerbell, and Bear

He is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Jacobsen and his father, Russell Jacobsen, and his nephew-in-law, John Chau.
