Sandra Cramer, age 79, of Winfred, died Sunday, April 18, 2021, at the Madison Regional Health System after battling lung cancer. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Sandy was born in Richland, California to I.B. (Buck) Jennings and Gladys (Cheney) Jennings. Sandy attended and graduated from Bancroft High School. After graduation she attended Stewart's School of Hairstyling in Sioux Falls, SD. and worked for the Stewart family in their salons in Sioux Falls.
Sandy met and married Robert (Bob) Cramer in Sioux Falls, later moving to Harrisburg, Lennox, Howard and then settling on the farm in Winfred, SD. After they retired from milking cows, they rented their land out and moved to Texas and Tennessee for Bob's positions in the packaging industry. Later returning to the farm at Winfred.
In addition to having a salon in her home, helping with the farming operation, she also volunteered as a 4H leader. When they returned to the farm after living in Tennessee they raised Registered Quarter Horses and Labrador Retreivers for over 20 years.
Sandy is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Cramer, brother Jerome "Jim" (Joanna) Jennings, Salem, sister-in-law Mary Jennings, Bancroft, daughters Sheila (Gary) Maffett, Brookings, Brenda (Shane) Werkmeister, Canova, Karla Cramer, Crystal, Minnesota, 6 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents I.B. & Gladys Jennings, brother Delbert Jennings, sister-in-law Audrey Jennings, son Grant Cramer and grandson Keegan Werkmeister.
