Michael “Mike” D. Jackson, age 52, of Canova, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2021, at his farm. Inurnment will be held at a later date. A time of fellowship and sharing of stories will be at Animal’s Bar & Grille in Canova, following the service at the farm.
Michael David Jackson born February 28, 1969, in Oklahoma, to Johnny and Jean (Sparks) Jackson. Mike and Kelli moved to Canova in February of 1998 to Kelli’s grandparent farm, where he raised his family. His line of work was a mechanic and working on farm equipment, particularly those big green tractors.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman where he loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed riding in the hills and spending time with his family which he cherished above all else. He also loved watching Cody and Dale play baseball growing up, traveling to and watching Jolie shoot archery, and watching Emalee become a young lady.
He was on the Canova volunteer fire Department for years and even served as chief at one point. Mike had many friends and will be truly missed by all.
He is survived by his fiance Donna Ashlock; daughter Jolie Baty (Zach); son Cody Jackson (Kaitlyn); son Dale Jackson (Paisley); and daughter Emalee Jackson, his mother Jean Jackson; brother Randy Jackson; and sister Renee Love (Chris), nephews Chase and Connor Jackson and niece Alyssa Love.
He is preceded in death by his father Johnny Jackson, and his wife Kelli Jackson.
