Lisa Ann (Mentele) Hoffman

Lisa Ann Hoffman, 50, of Howard, South Dakota passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society, Howard. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Monday, December 24, 2018 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, Howard, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Howard. Visitation will begin Sunday at 1pm with a Rosary Service to be at 4:30am and Scripture service at 5pm, all at the catholic church in Howard. Lisa Ann Mentele was born March 31, 1968 at Huron, South Dakota, to Thomas and Rosalyn (Tyrrell) Mentele. Lisa grew up in the Howard area, where she attended grade school and graduated from Howard High School in 1986. Lisa then attended nursing school at Dakota Wesleyan University, receiving her AA Degree as a Registered Nurse. She then started working at the Good Samaritan Society Howard. She worked there for 25 years, where she was involved as Charge Nurse, MDS Coordinator, Q.A. Coordinator and was a Staff Development Coordinator. Lisa was married to Brent Hoffman on May 1, 1999, at St. Agatha Catholic Church, Howard. To this union three children were born. Dylan, Lee, and Alyssa Hoffman. Lisa was a loving mother and as her children would add, a really good cook. Lisa was very active in her children’s events. Those grateful for having shared in her life include her husband Brent Hoffman of Howard, SD; her father Thomas Mentele of Howard, SD; her children Dylan, Lee, Alyssa Hoffman; Suzanne (Xavier) Pastrano of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandson Rowan Pastrano; her brother Terry (Anibal) Mentele of Boston, MA; her nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Lisa was preceded in death by grandparents, mother Rosalyn “Rosie” Mentele (2017).
