Lennie Joseph Zens, was born to Lawrence and Elta (Bartscher) Zens on April 15, 1957, he was the 5th of six siblings. Following graduation Lennie worked short time jobs, before he began his employment with Larson Distributing in Mitchell.

In 2003, he joined the team of Northwest Veterinary and Supply, as a Sales Representative. This would have been his 20th year working for them. Lennie was not only a great salesperson, but had an incredible smile and personality, that allowed his clients to become his close friends.

Lennie was united in marriage to Kathy Gluhm in 2000. Kathy, her son Kyle, and Kyles children became the center of his life and source of his joy. Lennie loved being called PaPa. His faith was top priority, sending up prayers for all who were in need and asking much help from the Carmelite Nuns. Besides his main job, Lennie along side of his brother Craig, continued to live out their mothers and fathers legacy; this legacy has now become Zens Farm.

Lennie’s LOVE, for his mother was indescribable, making coffee for her every morning and joining her for many Saturday dinners. We can’t forget Lennie being an avid Yankee baseball fan.

Those grateful for having shared in Lennie’s life include his wife Kathy of Epiphany, his stepson Kyle Bagley step grandchildren Tyler Hargens, Lilly, Lexi, Ayden Bagley all of Canova; special friend Mishelle and kids MacKenzie, Brooklynn, David. His mother Elta Zens of Epiphany; his siblings Jean (Kenny) Klinkhammer of Spencer, Rod Zens of Sioux Falls, Cindy (Mike) Holm of Tea, Craig (Deb) Zens of Canova, Shelly (Tom) McHenry of Buffalo, MN, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
