Kevin Siefken Obituary

Kevin Lloyd Siefken, was called home to our Lord and Savior on July 16, 2023. Kevin was born in Denver, Colorado on October 19, 1962, to Lloyd and Florence (Elam) Seifken. Two years later he was joined by his sister Sheryl. Kevin grew up in Evergreen, and Brighton, Colorado, plus in the states of Arizona, and Washington. He had a wonderful childhood, filled with lots of trips, and adventures. Kevin was a precocious child and taught himself many things by reading books. Because of photographic memory and high IQ, he was able to retain these things throughout the years. Kevin loved pipe organs from the age of four when he encountered one in a large church. His father took him behind the scenes and explained some of the components of an organ. He especially enjoyed learning about the wooden swells that would open and close. He began to teach himself to play the piano and organ and eventually worked at building organs and was a certified piano tuner. Over the years he collected many musical instruments and taught himself to play. He had a deep passion for music. At age 18, Kevin joined the US Navy and became a Navy Seal. He then became a Captain for several large Navy vessels and submarines, at the end of the Cold War. Kevin was very kind and considerate of others and loved his faithful dog, Duke. He had many who loved him. His passing came suddenly and is a shock to us all. He will be sorely missed. Those grateful for having shared in his life include a sister: Sheryl (Siefken) Robinett and her husband Brad of Thompson Falls, MT; nieces: Chriese Rhode (Jason Schiegel) of Prosser, WA; Tara Rhode (Jason) Rasmussen of Thompson Falls, MT; Morgan Robinett (Rees Wasney) of West Richland, WA; great nieces: Tristan Rhode Moritz, Presley Rasmussen, Lainey Wasney; a great nephew Stetson Wasney; a friend Joyce Swagger, and among other dear friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and special friends Terry Callender and John Zetah. In lieu of flowers and family would like donations to the Veterans Service Dog program.
