Obituary

Henry VanDenHemel, age 80, of Madison, died Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard. Private Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. William Catholic Church in Ramona. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery. There will be no reception in consideration of COVID 19.

Henry was born on June 3, 1941, in Madison to Achille and Cecilia (Discher) VanDenHemel. He attended St. Thomas School in Madison through the 8th grade and then attended Madison High School where he graduated in 1957. Henry was employed by the railroad and by Gehl Manufacturing in Madison until his retirement. He enjoyed motorcycling and car racing. 

He is survived by his brother Francis VanDenHemel and his wife Barbara of Omaha, NE, his sister Betty Stockwell and her husband Daniel of Palatine, IL, his brother John VanDenHemel and his wife Marilyn of Fairmont, MN, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Marie VanDenHemel.
