Obituary
Gerald Eldon Gosmire, age 63, of Hartford, died July 2, 2022, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. A memorial visitation will be 10-11 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard. Inurnment will follow at the Winfred Cemetery.
Gerald Eldon Gosmire was bone on June 9, 1959, to Donald and Ilene (Kirkeby) Gosmire of Winfred. He graduated from Howard High School before farming with his father and uncle before starting his own salvage company. Gerald was a smart, tough and strong business man. Even though he didn't say much or show it often, he had a big heart. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Those grateful in sharing his life are his sister Roxann, friends, business aquaintances, relatives, one step sister, one step brother, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ricky and Jeff; uncles; aunts; grandparents; two cousins; his beloved dogs; and Charlie the racoon.
