Richard Dean Erickson

Richard Dean Erickson, 82, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Howard Good Samaritan Society. Memorial service will be 2:00pm, on Thursday, June 6th, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Howard, with inurnment at Belleview Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Richard Dean Erickson was born June 3, 1937 to Joseph and Nina (Bohms). Dick went to country school for eight years, before graduating from Howard High in 1955.  He was made a child of God through baptism as an infant.  On February 21, 1965 Dick and Deanna (Ulrich) Erickson were married at Yale, SD.  They had three wonderful children, Kay, Jill and Kyle.  Dick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deanna of Howard, SD; daughter Jill of Sioux Falls, SD; son Kyle of Madison, SD; a granddaughter Marin Forey of Minneapolis, MN, and a sister Donna Stang of Longmont CO.  Preceding him in death was his daughter Kay Forey, his mother and father, and brother Marland.  Belleview Lutheran church was very dear to him.  He was a dedicated farmer, husband, father, and grandfather.  He hoped to be remembered as a nice guy.
