I’ll never forget the Skunk story. Lester will be greatly missed by all that knew him

Lester was my shipmate and good friend. He served his country with honor during the Korean War aboard the USS Knapp where he was a boiler tender technician. He was loved by all of his shipmates, because you could always count on Lester whenever you needed help. He always had your back. Going on liberty with Lester was always an
adventure. He is in a safe harbor now and is going on Liberty with the Lord Himself.
We will keep the family our prayers. Pete Smith, RM2

I remember how fun your Dad was and the race track that Debbie & I would tear around on and how he laughed at that. Daddy had stories of Lester and his fishing days. All the memories will be held close in my heart. Lester will be missed.

I love that picture of Lester. Those eyes and that grin was who he was. Loved to visit with Les when back that way. DeEtte and I send our sympathy to Les's family.
