Jetta grew up in Howard where she attended St. Agatha School, graduating in 1955. Jetta worked a few years at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard as a Certified Nursing Assistant before she was united in marriage to Frank Junior Schwader on March 10, 1958 at Pipestone, Minnesota. The couple lived in Howard a short time before moving to Freeman, South Dakota in 1969. Junior as people would call her husband, worked as a Barber. Junior died on September 3 1996. Jetta kept working as a CNA at the Salem Home in Freeman. Jetta worked nearly 60 years in Nursing Homes and at the Freeman Hospital. She enjoyed working at these businesses because she loved the elderly people. Anyone that knew Jetta could tell you she was a dedicated employee who was full of life and shared this with her co-workers and the elderly she helped. Jetta was also dedicated to her family and community. She made her children get involved in the community, she herself was a Cub Scout Leader, helped with the swim team called the Villas, she also did Meals on Wheels for numerous years. She was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary doing bake sales and helping with the pillow cleaning. She was involved in her church until recent years because of her health. Family meant a great deal to her, as she loved her children, grandchildren, and the family gatherings were always a joy to her. She will be missed by many, but her memories will be carried on with her family and friends. Those that are grateful for having shared in her life include her daughter Dawn (Doug) Schmulbach of Bellevue, NE; two sons Joel Schwader of Rapid City, SD; Todd (Joyce) Schwader of Sioux Falls, SD; four grandchildren Melissa and Josh Schwader both of Rapid City, SD; Matia and Brianna Schmulbach both at home in Bellevue, NE; a great granddaughter Kathryn Rayner of Rapid City, SD; a brother Jerry (Jennifer) Spader of Rapid City, SD; three sisters Del-Rae Allen of Fort Richie, FL; Karen Naasz of Howard, SD; Marie (Gary) Trusty of Rapid City, SD; other relatives and friends.
