Carolyn Kay (Garness) Garness

Carolyn Garness, 80, of Carthage passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will be 11am, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carthage, with burial to follow in Pleasantview Cemetery, Carthage. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Carolyn Kay Garness was born July 11, 1938, to Olaf and Mabel (Sneesby) Garness at Carthage, South Dakota. She was raised in the Carthage area where she attended and graduate from Carthage High School, Carthage, South Dakota. Survivors include her son Jess (Nancy Partch) McCabe of Mora, MN; daughters Terri Jensen of Carthage, SD; Donna McCabe of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers Leonard Garness of Aberdeen, SD; Roger (Jessie) Garness of Mitchell, SD; Dennis (Alice) Garness of Mitchell, SD; other relatives and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell and a grandson Valance.
