Anna I North

Anna I. North , age  96, of Canova, died Monday August 5, 2019, at Good Samaratian Society in Howard.

Per Anna request, no services will be held.

Anastasia (Anna) Isabelle Styer North Was born on 3-17-1923 in Huron, SD to Father Frances Styer, Mother Mary Ellen Peck and Step Father Harold Kutil. Anna was primarily raised in the Huron South Dakota area which is where she met and married her Husband Darwin North on June 24th 1940.

Together they shared, Glenn (Val) North of TX, Jerry (Dee) North of ID, Robert (Karen) North of Huron SD, Mary Ann (Charles) Jones of Kimball SD, Daniel North of Canova SD, Nancy (Richard) Erdman of Huron SD, Paul (Belinda) North of WY, Sally (Butch) Comer of Rapid City SD, Jack (Lucy) North of Howard SD. She is also survived by a sister Betty Dentz of Coon Rapids, MN and celebrated 38 Grandchildren and numerous Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by Her Father Frances, Mother Mary, Step-Father Harold, Husband Darwin, siblings Hazel, William, Leo, Edward, Daughter Kay, son-in-law Richard Erdman, daughter-in-law Dee North, and a Grand Child.

Raising her Children and spending time with her extensive Family was always an enjoyable time in her life, she also had a passion for reading, enjoyed gardening and crafting. Anna passed away the morning of August 5th 2019 at the nursing home in Howard, SD. At this time the Family is mourning in Private with a Memorial to be held at a later date.
