Alfred D. Eller, age 82, of Fedora, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Avera Brady Home in Mitchell. Memorial services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Endeavor Presbyterian Church in Fedora. Inurnment will follow at the Fedora Cemetery.
Alfred Dennis Eller was born August 11, 1936, in Carthage, to Alfred “Joe” and Dorothy (Tracewell) Eller. He graduated from Fedora in 1954 and attended Dakota Wesleyan before joining the US Air Force in 1955. Alfred was honorably discharged in 1958 and then attended SD School of Mines in Rapid City. He began farming in 1964 and continued to farm in the Fedora area for many years. On July 11, 1971, Alfred married Irene Marht. He served on the Volunteer Fire Department and on the township board.
He is survived by his step-daughter Robin (Mike) Arbuckle; one sister, Margaret (Jim) Oberg; one niece, Peggy Lowery; two nephews, Steve (Racheal) Oberg and Wade Oberg; two great-nieces, Tess and Meg; and three great-nephews, Ryan, Wesley, and Jack.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Irene.
